How often are you getting in your own way but don’t realize it?

Odds are there are futures you’re dreaming of that are worth pursuing but your mind is telling you all the reasons you “can’t”. Things like:

❌ That would never work
❌ That can’t happen
❌ They would never go for it
❌ I don’t have time for that

If you’ve been having these conversations in your head lately - good. It means you are open to something more in your life and you’re at odds with yourself. 

While there is something thrilling and a strong desire to live out this idea you have for yourself, your mind is sensing danger, feeling threatened and unconsciously creating defenses for limitations.

This crossroad is where so many quit and begin to believe the stories their mind feeds them as absolute truth. It doesn't take long to begin to feel trapped here.

But what if you lingered at this crossroad a bit and examined your thoughts. These thoughts may be helpful and worth following but what if they’re the same excuses you consistently accept as to why your life isn’t working out for you? 

Taking a closer look at these stories and excuses, you can begin to examine the underlying beliefs behind them.

How you speak to yourself shapes your mind and we are constantly talking to ourselves about nearly everything about the way things “are”. Everyone has these conversations so regularly that we are no longer aware how they are controlling our lives.

To go beyond, to be free from being trapped, we have to take ownership of these conversations. Growth and desired change doesn't just happen when life is lived on autopilot. 

It begins by asking yourself: “Are these conversations getting me where I want to go?”

Ownership begins when you take control of shaping the conversations you have with yourself by noticing and choosing the language you use. 

Today, right now, you have the ability to change how you think which changes how you act and ultimately impacts the future you’ll live.
