Grow

Where are you currently attempting to grow?

Think about it, our whole lives we are conditioned to arrive at some sort of destination of being really good at something.

It starts off with perfect attendance, and then achieving a certain GPA. As adults it looks more like being a master of some skill sets, or maybe it’s about reaching a specific accomplishment or perfect outcome.

And while these are all things to be celebrated, it’s not the kind of destination where you live long term.

In his book Beyond High Performance, Jason Jaggard explains it this way:
“This is the paradox of performance. Being good at something isn’t all it's cracked up to be. Getting better at something is where it’s at.”

If the growing stage is “where it’s at” why do so many people resist it?

Because it’s not comfortable stepping into the struggle, pain, awkwardness, and shame of not being very good and learning something you don’t know.

It’s in these moments where you push yourself beyond your comfort and boundaries, fumbling to find what you are capable of where our lives become deeply fulfilling.

Is it time to intentionally step just beyond your comfort zone in a way that will force you to grow?

If you’re not sure where to begin, grab some time on my calendar here and together we can explore where you want to grow.
